The 'Construction and Modification of Gas Systems – Level 3E' training course covers the content of DGUV FBHM-099 Qualification Level 3E and is aimed at skilled personnel who independently construct, modify, test and document gas systems for vehicles, particularly in development and testing environments.
The focus is on both technical aspects, such as the correct assembly and modification of gas systems, and the organisational requirements for commissioning, documentation and safety testing. The training course requires a sound knowledge from Level 2E and qualifies participants to carry out work independently, including assuming professional responsibility.
Participants will learn, among other things, how to create and implement Hazard Assessments, work instructions and training, for example, for employees with qualification levels E, 1E or 2E. This training course is therefore particularly suitable for people who are not only involved in operating gas systems, but also responsible for them from a technical and organisational perspective.
Note: For vehicles with an additional high-voltage system, supplementary qualification in accordance with DGUV Information 209-093 is required.

Frequently Asked Questions
What tasks can be undertaken after successful participation in Level 3E training?
The training qualifies participants to independently carry out work on gas systems, in particular construction, modification, testing and documentation. Participants can then also assume technical management responsibility.
What is the difference between Level 2E and Level 3E training according to DGUV FBHM-099?
Level 2E authorises the execution of defined activities based on instruction. Level 3E goes beyond this and enables the creation of Hazard Assessments and instructions, as well as the instruction and supervision of other persons.
What content does the training for technical management in the field of gas systems cover?
In addition to technical topics such as the construction, repair and testing of gas systems, organisational content is also covered – including legal principles, Hazard Assessments, operating instructions and training.
Who is the “Construction and Modification of Gas Systems” training particularly suitable for?
This training is aimed at experienced specialists in development, production or testing environments who are responsible for, construct or approve Hydrogen-powered vehicles or components – including documentation obligations.
Can company-specific requirements be integrated into the training?
Yes, specific specifications, drawings, test procedures or processes can be integrated. Further information on customisation can be found on the Training Development page.
