Working on gas-powered drives in manufacturing or maintenance environments places high demands on expertise, particularly with Hydrogen-powered vehicles. This training course delivers content in accordance with DGUV FBHM-099 Level 2E and qualifies participants to perform defined tasks on gas systems.
Specified activities are recurring, clearly definable tasks, the safe execution of which is based on an activity-related Hazard Assessment, work instructions and system-specific training. This training does not replace individual instruction, but it does provide the necessary technical foundation.
The focus is on identifying, preparing, emptying, inerting and commissioning gas systems after components have been replaced. These topics are supplemented by instruction on relevant protective measures, safety regulations, testing requirements and documentation obligations.
For vehicles with an additional high-voltage system, supplementary qualifications are required in accordance with DGUV Information 209-093. Alternatively, we also offer a combined H2 Level 2E & HV Level 2E training course.

FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the 'specified activities' on the gas system within the meaning of Level 2E training?
Specified activities are clearly defined, recurring tasks on the gas system – e.g. leak tests, emptying, inerting or filling – which are based on a Hazard Assessment and documented instructions.
After completing Stage 2E training, am I permitted to independently carry out work on the gas system?
Yes, but only the specified activities approved within the scope of the Hazard Assessment. This training does not replace system-specific instruction, but supplements it with safety-relevant expertise and practical skills.
What prerequisites must I fulfil to participate in the 'Working on Gas Systems – Stage 2E' training course?
Proof of qualification according to DGUV FBHM-099 Level 1E is required, as well as – for vehicles with a high-voltage system – additionally DGUV 209-093 Level 1E.
Which protective measures are taught in a practical way in the training?
The training covers, among other things, explosion protection, safe emptying and inerting, testing and measuring procedures and correct behaviour in the event of leaks or malfunctions. The application is based on realistic exercises with vehicles and LabCar.
Can the contents of the training be adapted to our company-specific activities?
Yes, on request we can integrate individual work instructions, vehicles or test scenarios. Further information on customisation can be found on our Training Development page.
