The Hazard Assessment (GBU) is a central instrument of occupational health and safety and, in accordance with § 5 German Occupational Health and Safety Act (ArbSchG), is a statutory obligation for every employer. The aim is to systematically identify and evaluate hazards in the workplace, to derive, document and implement appropriate protective measures.
In practice, however, the Hazard Assessment is often incomplete, not documented in a legally compliant manner, or is prepared without the necessary expertise. It should be noted that work instructions without an underlying Hazard Assessment are not legally sound and can lead to liability consequences in the event of damage.
This Hazard Assessment training course provides practical knowledge to carry out GBUs methodically correctly, in a legally compliant and application-oriented manner. Participants will learn about the statutory requirements, the methodology of hazard analysis, the use of assessment tools and the structure of a documented process. This knowledge is conveyed through concrete exercises using real examples from various work areas.
