Elektrofachkraft für festgelegte Tätigkeiten – EFKffT BAT – Hochvolt Zellen/Module U < 60 V DC

Working on high-voltage battery modules involves particular electrical, thermal and chemical hazards, even at voltages below 60 V DC. Targeted qualification in accordance with the standard is therefore required for the safe execution of specified activities on these systems.

In this training course, participants will learn how to safely test HV cells and battery modules below the high-voltage threshold, perform measurements correctly, and comply with all legal requirements, standards, and protective measures. The focus is on safe working outside of live conditions, for example, on touch-proof systems or prepared low-voltage modules.

The first part provides fundamental electrical engineering knowledge and practices measurement techniques on battery systems. Participants will learn the correct handling of electrical quantities, the assessment of measured values, and plausibility checks in a technical environment.

The second part focuses on the occupational safety system, organisational procedures, Hazard Assessments, work instructions, first aid and the safe handling of battery risks. Practical exercises on real battery modules transfer the theory directly into everyday working life.

This training course is aimed at individuals who work responsibly with battery systems below 60 V DC and who must act in a legally compliant, competent, and practical manner.

FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

There are no formal prerequisites. However, a basic technical understanding, for example through vocational training, is advantageous for successful learning.

Permitted are defined, recurring activities on touch-protected high-voltage modules below 60 V DC, e.g. measuring, testing or working according to work instructions - but no interventions in live systems.

The EFKffT BAT is aimed at people who are not fully certified electricians, but are nevertheless allowed to carry out defined work on HV systems with limited voltage under supervision – a much more compact and practical qualification path.

In practical exercises, current, voltage and resistance measurements are performed on battery modules. In addition, hazardous behaviour and transport assessments are covered.

Yes, the training can be customized. Individual content or battery modules can be customized as part of our Training Development can be taken into account.
