Confirmation of Participation
This training course conveys the content based on DGUV Information 209-093 Level E and creates the legally compliant basis for handling high-voltage systems in Electromobility.
Prototype vehicles and pre-production vehicles with high-voltage systems place special demands on safety during operation, in workshops, on test benches or during transport. Depending on the maturity of the vehicle, protective measures such as emergency stops, insulation monitoring or voltage isolation may be limited or not yet available.
This training course provides participants with a fundamental understanding of the specific risks and technical characteristics of such vehicles. Topics covered include charging behaviour, driving operation, vehicle operation and cleaning, as well as the special features of driving behaviour.
- Fundamental structure of the high-voltage system, its components, and their function
- Specific features of the electric vehicle regarding the hazard potential of pre-production components
- Operating elements (Can-Monitor, emergency stop button)
- Response to Accidents, Damage, and Exceptional Situations
This training course is aimed at personnel who will be operating pre-production vehicles. Operating includes preparing and driving vehicles
for test drives, as well as simple maintenance tasks such as topping up the windscreen washer fluid, and interior and exterior cleaning.
You will learn:
- recognize the hazards posed by prototype vehicles with HV systems
- which activities are permitted when handling test vehicles and pre-series vehicles
- Considering and safely interpreting supplementary protective measures
Assessing situations where work must be stopped and a technical manager consulted
None required.

FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the "Level E" qualification mean for training as a Safety-Aware Person?
Level E, in accordance with DGUV Information 209-093, represents basic awareness training for working with high-voltage systems in pre-production vehicles. It is aimed at individuals without formal electrical training who are required to perform basic tasks on such vehicles.
For which vehicle types is the "Safety-Aware Person" training relevant?
This training course is specifically aimed at individuals working with pre-production or prototype vehicles that have high-voltage components. These vehicles can range from near-series production models to heavily modified prototypes.
Is the " Safety-Aware Person - Level E" training sufficient to work on high-voltage vehicles?
No, this training course does not qualify you to actively work on HV components. It provides a basic understanding of hazards and correct behaviour, but does not replace the qualification for 'certified electrician (EFK)' or 'expert person (FHV)'.
Can the training content be adapted to specific company requirements?
Yes, the training course can be customised if required, for example, with company-specific work instructions or safety regulations. Further information on customisation can be found on our Training Development page.
Is the "Safety-Aware Person" training also suitable for non-technicians?
Yes, the training course is explicitly aimed at individuals without prior electrical engineering knowledge, such as drivers, vehicle maintenance personnel or logistics staff, who may come into contact with high-voltage test carriers.
